12Independence Day is one holiday that I really look forward to every year. I love seeing all my friends and family, jumping in the pool to cool off, and especially the food! In Alabama we will use any excuse we can to fire up the grill, but we really go all out for the Fourth of July! Fresh, super-sweet corn grilled on the cob is especially tasty this year! And what sort of patriotic desert would be complete without delicious strawberries and blueberries? To wrap it all up, sit back and watch the fireworks with a big juicy slice of our amazing seedless watermelons! If this sounds as good to you as it does to me, then come see us at the market soon! And remember by shopping with us you are helping to support local farming families.

All Andy’s locations will be closed Wednesday, July 4th

Cookout Essentials

onions-tomatoesAll of us can probably remember to pickup the watermelon tomorrow but it’s the details that make a great cookout! Don’t forget your tomatoes, onions, lettuce and more! We have some unbelievably sweet and flavorful Vidalia Onions! Noticeably better tasting, these onions are only genuine when grown in a small valley in Georgia. The home-grown, vine-ripened tomatoes at Andy’s blow the competition out of the water! If you’ve been buying your tomatoes at big grocery stores, come let us remind you what they are supposed to taste like!
